Traffic Data Equipment Repairs

IMPORTANT:

JAMAR Technologies offers traffic data equipment repairs. BEFORE sending in repairs, please read ALL of the information on this page!

  • As a testament to JAMAR quality, a lot of our customers are still using counters that are 20+ years old.

  • Due to the age of these counters, repair parts are simply no longer available.

  • Many of our older model counters are no longer able to be repaired.

  • Be sure to check our list of eligible counters below.

  • Repairing a JAMAR traffic counter is never something you should attempt on your own.

  • Unauthorized repairs could damage your counter further, or even void your warranty.

  • Let our dedicated and experienced Repair Department take care of the repairs for you.

We recommend contacting us BEFORE sending equipment in for repair.

Many issues can be solved without having to send us the unit, saving you time and shipping/service fees.

STEP 2 - DOWNLOAD & COMPLETE TRAFFIC DATA EQUIPMENT REPAIR REQUEST FORM

Complete an Equipment Repair Request (ERR) form for any equipment you are sending in, including your contact information and a description of why the equipment is being sent for repair.

 

Note that there is one ERR for RAC Distance Measuring Instruments and a separate one for all other types of equipment.

STEP 3 - SHIP THE EQUIPMENT TO US

Package your equipment and the Equipment Repair Request form together and send it to:

We recommend you ship equipment using a service like UPS or FedEx that provides a tracking number. This will enable you to be sure the package has arrived with us safely. Please note that some shipping services like UPS or FedEx have specific requirements for certain types of equipment that use lithium batteries. Check with your shipper, or with us, if you have any questions on how a piece of equipment should be shipped.

 

Per our Limited Warranty, when sending in equipment for repair (for products both under warranty and not under warranty), all shipping and transportation charges are to be prepaid.

 

If you believe your traffic data equipment repair situation could qualify as being an exception to this policy, please feel free to call JAMAR Technologies directly, and we will be happy to discuss other possible arrangements.

GENERAL JAMAR LIMITED WARRANTY (specific warranty info for each product can be found in the product's User's Manual)

 

JAMAR Technologies, Inc. warrants each new instrument manufactured by the company against defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year limited warranty on parts and one (1) year limited warranty on labor from the date of purchase. For information on extended warranty call 1-800-776-0940.

JAMAR Technologies, Inc. warrants each new instrument manufactured by the company to be free from defective material and workmanship and agrees to remedy any such defect. At its option, it may furnish a new part in exchange for any part of any instrument of its manufacture which, under normal installation, use and service discloses such defect. The instrument must be returned to our factory or authorized service agent intact, for examination, with all transportation charges prepaid.

 

This warranty does not extend to any products which have been subject to misuse, neglect, accident, vandalism or incorrect wiring not our own. This warranty does not extend to water damage caused by the use of faulty or improperly installed road tube or damage caused by improper installation in disregard of the instructions furnished by us. This warranty does not extend to products which have been repaired or altered outside our factory or authorized service agent.

 

In no event shall JAMAR Technologies, Inc. be liable for any damages arising from the use of this product including damages arising from the loss of information.

 

This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied and no representative or person is authorized to assume for us any other liability in connection with the sale or use of our products.

 

JAMAR Technologies, Inc. reserves the right to make improvements on the product and/or specifications at any time without notice.
